In this audio e-book short story narrated by Rick Riordan, Carter Kane is investigating rumored sightings of a monster on Long Island when he runs into something else: a mysterious boy named Percy Jackson. And their meeting isn’t exactly friendly. . . . Includes a sneak peek chapter from HOUSE OF HADES, Book Four in the Heroes of Olympus series.

Are there truly words enough to describe how flippin’ excited I am for this book?!?! I think NOT. A Kane Chronicles / Percy Jackson crossover??? I am SO in!

You can read an excerpt from this amazing story HERE.

Okay, first off, I’ve got to apologize. I was on a road trip (w/o internet connection!) for a week, and since I’ve been back I’ve just been trying to get back on my feet, so I’m really sorry for my absence, and I PROMISE I will be posting a ton of reviews shortly. I’ve gotten way behind. :)

Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up.

Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.

Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic compli

cations—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

Well, first off, I’m a big fan of Kiersten White’s books. So, obviously, when I heard about this one, I couldn’t WAIT to pick it up! Egyptian mythology in modern day America??? Yes, please! I love mythology, (Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles, greek, roman, and egyptian myths in general, etc…), and this one looks great!
