My Review: I wasn’t expecting much from this book. You know, your typical super-popular, cliche, and totally predictable YA romance with a bit of sci-fi thrown in. Lame book, right? WRONG.
I very thoroughly enjoyed this book. In fact, I loved it! Jessica Brody is a very talented writer; I really felt this story. It may have been 307 pages, but it certainly didn’t feel that long. I read it in about a day and a half, and loved every second of it!
The romance, first of all, was expertly written. Usually, I can’t STAND romances, but Jessica Brody really knows how to write one. It wasn’t insta-love, it wasn’t forbidden love, it was just a sweet, simple, and… inspirational? love story.
Content Advisory: A bit of violence… one person dies by electrocution. A guy walks in on a girl in her underwear. Some kissing. Nothing really inappropriate.
To Sum it Up: The characters, plot, romance, everything! Were just so expertly written. I read this book a few weeks ago, and yet I still love it! I was really drawn into this story, and found that I really couldn’t put it down. A story of love that goes beyond memories, and a friendship that lasts through ages. I highly recommend this book to ages 10+.
